What can I possibly write about Varanasi—the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world? A city older than civilization itself. Varanasi is the very heart of Indian culture and history, with each of its 84 ghats holding its own story. Here, centuries-old traditions are still alive. Death is simply a part of life, and Shiva is the eternal king.
The energy here is unlike anywhere else. Watching the sunrise over the Ganga is as surreal as witnessing the evening aarti at sunset. Varanasi (Benaras/Kashi) is an experience like no other—a city that truly embodies the essence of India.
